We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer service-focused Accounting Assistant to support our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), excellent time management, and outstanding computer and customer service skills. This role also includes handling incoming calls and maintaining organized records and documentation.
Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including AP and AR processing
Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
Maintain accurate and organized financial and filing systems
Answer incoming calls and direct them to appropriate departments with professionalism
Act as a liaison between accounting and customer service teams
Operate office equipment including scanner, copier, and printer
Support the monthly and year-end close process
Assist with other administrative and accounting duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an accounting role
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Exceptional time management, organization, and multitasking abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent telephone etiquette
Proven customer service experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
