Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Commercial Account Representative to join our growing insurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, ensuring their coverage needs are met with professionalism and care. You’ll play a key role in building long-term relationships, assisting with renewals, and supporting the sales and underwriting process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.

  • Provide outstanding day-to-day service, including responding to client inquiries, processing policy changes, and handling certificates of insurance.

  • Assist in gathering underwriting information and preparing quotes for new and renewal policies.

  • Review policy documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Coordinate renewals, endorsements, and claims support with clients and carriers.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, underwriters, and internal sales teams.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the agency management system (e.g., AMS360, Applied Epic).

  • Identify coverage gaps and recommend solutions to protect the client’s business.

  • Support producers in developing new business opportunities and cross-selling.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance or related customer service role.

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).

  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverages (e.g., general liability, workers’ compensation, commercial auto, property).

  • Proficiency with insurance agency management systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
