Clinical Duties:
Prepare patients for exams and procedures
Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)
Assist providers during examinations
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
Perform basic lab tests (urinalysis, blood draws, etc.)
Administer medications and injections as directed by a physician
Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment
Update and maintain patients’ medical records
Explain treatment procedures, medications, and diets to patients
Administrative Duties:
Greet and check in patients
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
Answer phones and respond to inquiries
Verify insurance and process billing/coding information
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Handle correspondence, filing, and data entry
