The Receiving / Quality Control Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials and products to ensure they meet company and supplier quality standards. This role helps maintain inventory accuracy, supports production, and ensures that non-conforming items are reported and addressed appropriately.
Unload and unpack incoming shipments safely and efficiently.
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
Inspect items for damage, discrepancies, or missing parts.
Record received goods into the inventory management system.
Label and route materials to appropriate storage or departments.
Communicate any issues or delays with purchasing or warehouse management.
Inspect incoming materials and products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and testing equipment as required.
Document inspection results and maintain detailed records.
Identify, tag, and isolate non-conforming materials.
Assist in resolving quality issues with suppliers or internal teams.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and audits.
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior experience in receiving, warehousing, or quality control preferred.
Basic computer skills; experience with inventory or ERP systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents (packing slips, specifications).
Physically capable of lifting up to [X lbs] and standing for extended periods.
Forklift certification is a plus.
Warehouse or production environment.
May involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
