EnglishA Washer at a heliport is responsible for the cleaning and detailing of helicopters to ensure they remain in optimal aesthetic and operational condition. This role plays an important part in routine maintenance, safety, and the professional presentation of aircraft.
The Aircraft Washer performs exterior and limited interior cleaning of helicopters, using proper materials and methods to protect sensitive components while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Exterior Washing: Clean and degrease the fuselage, rotors, landing gear, and windows using approved aviation cleaning agents and tools.
Interior Cleaning: Perform light cleaning of the cabin and cockpit, including vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and removing debris, when required.
Inspection During Cleaning: Identify and report any visible damage, fluid leaks, or unusual wear observed during the cleaning process.
Detailing: Polish and detail aircraft surfaces for a professional finish; apply protective coatings as directed.
Safety Compliance: Follow heliport and aviation safety standards; use personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle chemicals safely.
Equipment Handling: Operate washing tools, ladders, towable platforms, and cleaning equipment with care and attention to aircraft sensitivity.
Documentation: Maintain logs of cleaning schedules and report any discrepancies or issues to maintenance staff.
Support Services: Assist line technicians or ground crew with other duties as needed, such as positioning aircraft or prepping for inspection.
Schedule is 9am- 9pm. 7 days on starting on Wednesday until Thursday and then 7 days off.
