About the Role

A well-established electrical company in South Louisiana is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong full-cycle payroll experience. This role is critical to keeping daily financial operations running smoothly and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle payroll for employees (weekly/biweekly as needed)
  • Handle payroll taxes, including calculations, filings, and reconciliations
  • Maintain compliance with federal and Louisiana payroll regulations
  • Assist with accounts receivable (AR) and follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Handle accounts payable (AP), including vendor payments and tracking expenses
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Sage accounting software
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Assist with reporting and general office/accounting support

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience with full-cycle payroll (start to finish)
  • Experience processing payroll taxes (941s, state filings, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software (required)
  • Experience with AR and AP
  • Solid understanding of payroll compliance, deductions, and reporting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

  • Experience in construction, electrical, or industrial environments is a plus
