Job Title: CDL Driver (Local Deliveries / Material Transport)

A well-established industrial supply and steel company in the Houma area is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Driver to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in professionalism, reliability, and customer service while working locally and being home daily.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate CDL trucks for local deliveries and pickups
  • Transport steel, industrial materials, and related products to customer job sites and facilities
  • Load, secure, and unload materials properly to ensure safe transport
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, logs, and receipts
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers
  • Assist with warehouse duties or material handling when needed
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures

 

Schedule / Pay:

  • Full-time position
  • Local routes / Home daily
  • Monday-Friday (some overtime may be available)
  • Pay based on experience

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL License (Class A or B depending on experience/equipment)
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass background/drug screening
  • Experience hauling steel, construction materials, pipe, or industrial products preferred
  • Forklift or flatbed securement experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift, strap, chain, and secure loads as needed
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with Houma and surrounding South Louisiana areas preferred
