. This position works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to produce accurate technical drawings that meet industry and company standards.
Create, modify, and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings for downhole tools, components, and assemblies
Develop detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings, including tolerances, materials, and specifications
Maintain proper revision control and documentation for all drawings
Collaborate with engineers on design changes, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements
Ensure drawings comply with API standards, customer requirements, and internal design guidelines
Support shop and field personnel with clear, accurate technical documentation
Maintain organized CAD files, bill of materials (BOMs), and part numbering systems
Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (preferred)
2+ years of drafting experience, preferably with downhole tools, oilfield equipment, or machined components
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and GD&T
Ability to read and interpret engineering sketches and specifications
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
Familiarity with API specifications and oilfield standards
Knowledge of materials, coatings, and heat treatments used in downhole applications
Office-based position with frequent collaboration with engineering and shop personnel
Fast-paced oilfield environment requiring accuracy, flexibility, and teamwork
