Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used in manufacturing and production operations. This position helps ensure equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports a safe and efficient work environment. The Industrial Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Inspect equipment to identify maintenance needs and help prevent unexpected downtime.
• Perform repairs and component replacements as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed work as required.
• Operate tools, testing equipment, and maintenance machinery safely and effectively.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and improvement projects.
• Follow all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• One to five years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience working with equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, PLC-controlled systems, CNC equipment, instrumentation, or other industrial machinery.
• Coursework or certification in electronics, automation, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, or stick welding, along with oxy-fuel cutting equipment, is a plus.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

This position regularly requires the ability to:

• Lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Lift materials from waist to shoulder height weighing up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
• Frequently climb ladders and stairs while performing maintenance tasks.
• Safely operate power tools, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and other maintenance devices.
• Work in manufacturing, warehouse, office, and outdoor environments with exposure to changing weather conditions, temperature extremes, machinery, and elevated noise levels.
• Perform physically demanding work for extended periods while maintaining attention to safety and quality.
