Job Description

Job Title: Shop Welder
Location: Midland

We are currently hiring an experienced Shop Welder for a well-established industrial manufacturing and machine shop operation in the Midland area. This is a great opportunity for a dependable welder looking for steady hours, competitive pay, and long-term potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding on a variety of metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys
  • Fabricate, repair, and modify parts, piping components, and equipment to specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures, and shop drawings
  • Fit, tack, and weld materials accurately to required tolerances
  • Grind, clean, and prepare materials before and after welding
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and structural integrity
  • Operate shop tools such as grinders, torches, saws, and other fabrication equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

 

Schedule:

  • Full-time position
  • Monday-Friday
  • Overtime available based on workload

Pay:

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Previous shop welding experience required
  • Experience welding carbon steel, stainless, and specialty alloys preferred
  • Ability to pass weld test if required
  • Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Oilfield, machine shop, or high-pressure component experience is a plus
