QA Document Control Specialist

Location: Houma, LA

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

We are seeking a QA Document Control Specialist to join a busy manufacturing operation in the Houma area. This position will support the Quality Assurance department by maintaining accurate quality documentation, records, certifications, and manufacturing paperwork.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with technical documentation, and has at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and control QA/QC documents and records
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and proper approvals
• Maintain current revisions of procedures, work instructions, specifications, drawings, and quality records
• Process and file inspection reports, material certifications, and other manufacturing documentation
• Track document revisions and ensure outdated documents are properly removed or archived
• Assist with documentation needed for customer requirements and quality audits
• Work closely with Quality, Production, Inspection, and other departments to obtain required documentation
• Enter and maintain information in company databases and document control systems
• Ensure records are easily retrievable and maintained according to company procedures
• Assist the QA department with additional administrative and documentation needs

Ideal Candidate

This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is organized, computer-savvy, and interested in growing within the Quality Assurance side of manufacturing. Experience working with quality records, inspection paperwork, material certifications, ISO/API documentation, or similar controlled documents is a plus.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Previous QA/QC, document control, manufacturing administrative, or inspection documentation experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to organize and maintain a high volume of records and documentation
• Comfortable working with technical and manufacturing terminology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and stay on top of deadlines
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
