Legal Secretary – Estate Planning

Pay: $18.00–$28.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

A growing estate planning law office is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join its team. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, communicates exceptionally well, and thrives in an independent work environment.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and takes pride in producing polished, accurate work. While prior estate planning experience is a plus, strong written and verbal communication skills are the most important qualifications for this role.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and client communications
• Answer phones and professionally communicate with clients, attorneys, and outside parties
• Schedule appointments and maintain attorney calendars
• Organize and maintain both physical and electronic client files
• Prepare documents for client meetings and execution
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, email, and other office communications
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support daily office operations
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client information

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Previous legal or administrative experience preferred

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with legal software is a plus
• Professional demeanor and strong client service skills
