Position Summary

Company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Assistant to support our safety department in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This role assists with safety documentation, training coordination, inspections, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring workplace safety programs
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
• Conduct routine safety inspections and identify potential hazards
• Support incident investigations and corrective action tracking
• Assist with employee safety training and orientation programs
• Monitor compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
• Help coordinate safety meetings and communicate safety initiatives
• Perform administrative duties related to the safety department

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or safety-related environments preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations is a plus
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk job sites and conduct inspections
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in both office and field environments
